PSAI China Instructor Trainer Workshop 2013

This year’s PSAI China Instructor Trainer Workshop (ITW) held on the week of 29th April to 5th May in Guangzhou.

We had 6 PSAI Instructors together with another 6 PSAI Instructor Candidates attending. They came from 5 districts including: Dalian, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Hongzhou and Kunming. Steve Chan (PSAI-China consultant), Gallup Lee (PSAI-China ITE & Licensee), Herman Wong (PSAI-China IT), Kenneth Cheung (PSAI-China IT) and Ching-Han HSU (PSAI-Taiwan Country Licensee / ITE) gave our new family members an intensive week of training making sure they can achieve the highest standard of PSAI’s quality training.

The workshop was divided into two sections. These are “Open Water Instructor Trainer Course” and “Advanced Buoyancy Control Instructor Trainer Course”. Both theory and underwater skills are rated together with their teaching technique and ability on helping their students to develop.

In this ITW, each PSAI Instructor Trainer Candidate was assigned one student as their instructor candidate. They were required to “teach” their student to become an instructor. By doing this, the candidate can “re-learn” their teaching skills and also have another perspective on what a good instructor should have.

国际专业潜水协会 – 中国教练训练官工作坊2013

2013年4月29日至5月5日，国际专业潜水协会 – 中国于广州举行本年度教练/教练训练官工作坊。

参加此次教练/教练训练官工作坊的受训者，来自于香港、广州、杭州、大连、昆明等地；有四位教练训练官为此次培训的讲授教官：香港的李旭东、黄澄清、张传其以及PSAI台湾的徐景汉教授。香港的陈来发先生作为特邀嘉宾，也亲莅了培训现场。

本次的工作坊分为两个阶段两个课程，分别是”休闲潜水教练训练官课程”及”进阶浮力控制教练训练官课程”. 采取的是理论讲座与水下技巧教学考核相结合的模式。考核的范围除了理论与技术水平外，还包括教学技巧和帮助学生发展的能力。

在课程的设计里，给每一位受训者全程配一名助教，并安排了让受训者把“学”的知识“教”给助教的环节，通过助教的表现来考核受训者。这种模拟教学能让受训者在“教”的过程中再次领会“学”的内容，同时，也能从另一个层面理解甚么是好教练的必备条件。
