PSAI International Academy Research and Development Projects Spring 2019
On February 25, 2019, PSAI Executive Chairman – Gary Taylor, PSAI Vice President – Manny Marrero, PSAI International Academy COO- Roberto Rosa made a series of Research and Development dives at Balneario de Cerro Gordo with Full Face Mask configurations with 2-way wireless communication and heads up display, along with quick disconnect gas switch block and customized PSD helmet.
The objectives include finding the best configurations and procedures to apply such equipment for:
1) Sport Diving and Sport Specialties
2) Sidemount Configurations
3) Various Technical Diving Course
4) PSAI SMART Program Public Safety Diving

The R & D developments have been integrated into Academy Courses.
PSAI International Academy students use masks equipped with receiving units, so they can hear directions and instruction from the Instructor and the Assistant Instructor.
For PSAI International Academy courses, both the Instructor and the Assistant Instructor are equipped with HD video cameras to better allow the student to see their performance of in-water skills.
